Round Britain & Ireland Yacht Race campaign in collaboration with Equenox Racing kicks off with the first of 4 pre-qualifying races.Although we made up this course ourselves; Saturday sail to Poole Harbour entrance, around the marker then back across to the Needles and around the Isle Of Wight.
Lots of sail changes as we removed our self furling system and tried out our brand new sails wardrobe Rotating through the night watches (shifts) of 3 hours each (why do I always get the graveyard shift 2am-5am?!!).
Practised using the inboard Watermaker for turning salt water into fresh water- tastes surprisingly pure!!
